MTSS #20 (The Green Tongue of HPV)

The twentieth episode of Midwest Teen Sex Show focuses on the virus HPV. I wanted to do another horror genre (last year I did the slasher with Syphilis), but I wanted to avoid the obvious sexual metaphors such as vampirism. Zombies seemed like an option, but it’s been done over and over in recent years. After a quick conversation with a friend at Radar Dog Productions, the witch genre (or sub-genre) became the clear choice.

I drew upon my favorite Dario Argento film “Phenomena” as well as his Three Mothers trilogy for inspiration, along with the Hammer film “The Devil Rides Out.” It turned into our longest and most complicated shoot but also the most fun. The post-production process took twice as long compared to other episodes, due to the extensive sound design required. Many thanks to everyone involved and Gordon Tebo for providing some fantastic music.
